Entrepreneurs' Program
Each year more women discover the power of entrepreneurship. In the US alone, there are over 9.1 million woman owned businesses that employ 27.5 million people. By every measure, the formation of woman owned businesses world-wide is growing faster than that of male owned businesses.
The Entrepreneurs’ Program was formed to address the needs of TIAW members who are part of this continuously growing trend.
What is the mission of the Entrepreneurs' Program?
The TIAW Entrepreneurs’ Program is designed to enhance the lives of TIAW’s entrepreneurs by reducing their sense of isolation, improving their abilities, and increasing their business opportunities. The goal of the Entrepreneurs’ Program is to assist TIAW members to outperform their competition and exceed their prior growth rate.
How will the Entrepreneurs' Program implement the mission?
The strategy is to use internet and other technologies to connect the entrepreneur members around the world. Based on the results of a needs analysis of TIAW entrepreneurs, a suite of offerings will be designed that appeal to the differing needs of entrepreneurs.
The key activities are:
Connection: Provide a vehicle that links entrepreneurs. Through the Entrepreneurs Connection, members will have an opportunity to ask questions, share best practices, find others in similar businesses, find suppliers, vendors, and strategic alliance partners.
Professional Development: Provide information about seminars, links to on-line training,
share best practices, and discuss strategic issues that impact decisions and growth opportunities.
Business Development: Identify and publish business opportunities and connect the interested businesses.
Advocacy: Harness the power of TIAW entrepreneurs world-wide to create a voice for women entrepreneurs.
