TIAW has committed to providing its members with more information relevant to our members from women who own small to large businesses, to the corporate executive.  Maxine Westaway, Executive Director of TIAW, says that “Membership in TIAW is very broad, ranging from the most senior corporate executive women to professionals, women in government and academia, and women business owners.  While the majority of our entrepreneurs around the world own small to medium sized businesses, a great number of them have built large companies with hundreds of employees as well.  As any entrepreneur will tell you, moral support when you first start out, along with making contacts and building relationships is vital to building a strong company.  TIAW as an umbrella network is well positioned to provide all of that and more to our members. Attendance at this conference is a MUST for any woman entrepreneur or corporate leader wanting to make global connections.”

As with other TIAW International meetings, the trip will combine business with pleasure. In addition to three days of networking, learning and sharing ideas and experiences at the meeting itself, attendees will enjoy day trips and tours organized for them.  TIAW is working to make the travel portion of the meeting unforgettable and will be making some major announcements in the next few weeks in that regard. Santiago, Chile and its surrounding area are not just the home of vineyards for wine tasting, great shopping for silver and lapis, and wonderful resorts on the coast like Valparaiso, but also beautiful historical monuments, natural wonders like the Andes, amazing deserts, and famous stops such as Easter Island and Patagonia. Attendees will also be hosted at a myriad of events in Santiago and will be given numerous opportunities to learn about and experience the rich Chilean culture.

More information about the trip will be available in December. Visit www.tiaw.org frequently and click on our “Events” section to get more information or contact Maxine Westaway at mwestaway@tiaw.org or 905-948-1994.
