Formed in 1975, the Commission aims to achieve the integration of women as full and equal partners with men in total development efforts. It coordinates with all organizations in the Filipino government and the private sector to promote the advancement of women in all levels of society.  As the chief adviser to the President with respect to women’s concerns, the NCRFW Chair meets with the president on a quarterly basis to provide updates on issues related to priority women’s concerns and on the status of the overall program for gender and development in general.
