In the beginning there were three young women who had been around a long time. They did not belong to Rotary or Kiwanis or The City Club or any other "Old Boy’s Network". They met for breakfast and talked about the community and state and the needs of the country and looked for similar-minded women like themselves. Women who would help other women to rise to the top in their job or profession, career or chosen work. We called ourselves the Old Girls Network, not to be confused with the Old Boy's Network, which existed throughout the world, and from which we felt excluded.
